304L Stainless Steel Rod

304L Stainless steel bars are used where welding is involved as a variant of 304 stainless steel bars. The lower carbon content greatly reduces the precipitation of carbides in the heat-affected zone near the weld, which in some cases is likely to lead to intergranular corrosion of stainless steel. Basically, there is no need to anneal the welded joint before using the metal formwork made of 304L, saving time and effort. In fact, 304 and 304L stainless steel bars can be used for many of the same applications. These differences are often so small that one is not considered more useful than the other. 304L stainless steel bars are commonly used as manufacturing parts for food processing equipment, building materials, automotive parts and other fields.
